CPI has condemned govt's decision to allow 100% FDI

Thu, Jan 11, 2018 at 4:41 PM
It will more increase the employement
Ludhiana: 11th January 2018: (Punjab Screen Bureau)::
The Communist Party of India (CPI) has condemned government's decision to allow 100% FDI in single brand retail . In a statement the party said that it will lead to job displacement and will in no way help country's economic growth. Single brand retail products are used by hardly 2-5% of population. Large chunk of the money flow is used in merger and other things while real investment is very low. This will  also affect our small traders. As admitted by the government that GDP will come down to 6.5% there is likelihood of loss of obs. In the event of job loss there is apprehension that there may not be sufficient buying capacity with the people.  The government should concentrate on increasing employment in small scale sector for improving economy at the ground level. It is pertinent to note that the BJP had vehemently opposed the FDI in retail when it was not in power few years back.

When people become unemployed, they will not have any jobs, then the purchasing power of the people will also fall further. The oppressed people of capitalism will have to face new troubles once again. Thus, does this decision lead to the risk of new slavery?
CPI Local Leaders Dr. Arun Mitra, Comrade Kartar Singh Buani, Comrade Ramesh Rattan, Comrade Gurnam Singh Sidhu, Comrade Vijay Kumar and others expressed regret that this is being done by the party whose leaders have opposed the even 50% FDI. Agitations were launched against the FDI. Protests were also done on roads. When the same leaders came to power now, 100 percent of the FDI is justifying it as a big gift to India.
This decision has been proved by the government that the which party running this government is like an elephant whose teeth have different teeth to eat and the tooth to show. The party said that the government should focus on increasing the employment of small-scale sector for economic reform at the grassroots level. With the loud emphasis on the slogan of the indigenous Swadeshi Party, what is the principle now that foreign companies are coming to the country and inviting the people of the country to grab everything?
The party also invited organizations such as Kendra and Swadeshi of the party that they now question the leaders of this party in public places and answer their questions.
